Brewers Season Comes to an End

The Hub City Brewers season has come to an end. For the second straight season, the Brewers were eliminated by the Charlottetown Islanders in the opening round of the playoffs.

The Brewers would like thank all their great fans, volunteers and sponsors for making 2011 a great season.

There were many accomplishments to be proud of in 2011. On the field, the team managed four more victories than it did in 2010. A four game improvement every year will see the Brewers competiting for a championship in no time. Our very own Pat Godin was named to the NBSBL All-Star team and was voted top defensive player in the league. Both Pat and Mike Ivey were invited to join the Fredericton Royals at this years Canadian National Championships being held in Chatham August 25th – 28th.

Off the field, the Field of Dreams program is bigger and better than ever; our inaugural Pink at the Park weekend was a huge success; our first game in Dieppe had an excellent turn out and we continued our relationship with the Bob Donahoe Mosquito Tournament in Riverview.

If you are still craving baseball, come on out to the CN Sportsplex, Field # 1 on Monday night at 6:00pm and watch the Field of Dreams program; it’s a great time!
